Triad — Robotic Swarm

MakeMIT x Harvard · 3rd Place · 24 hours

We built three robots in 24 hours that run AI agents and communicate autonomously. The idea was simple and a little unhinged — what happens if you give an AI agent a physical body, and then give multiple agents bodies and let them coordinate?

Each robot ran OpenClaw as its brain. Wheels, cameras, mics, speakers — all exposed as tools the agent could call. With ElevenLabs they could actually speak. They see their environment, follow people, reason about what's happening, and decide when to move or talk on their own. The cool part wasn't one robot acting alone — it was multiple robots talking to each other in natural language, sharing what they see, planning together, coordinating actions. At that point you start to see the limits. Natural language works, but it's not really a protocol.

Built with Mateo Brancoli Weinstein and Navya Tiwari.

Robots fight each other (for a can of Pringles)

Autonomous robots competing in MIT's MASLAB challenge. You build a robot, it goes into an arena and fights other robots — as in tries to get as many Pringles cans as possible. Honestly, perfect motivation.

Autonomous Robot Research

Building a pet robot that will go to the caves on Mars

My ongoing project — an autonomous rover with computer vision (YOLO 11), autonomous navigation, the whole thing. The goal is a robot that can explore on its own. We're getting there.

what's next?

good question.

One robot is useful. Many robots working together as physical AI agents is a completely different category. There's a clear need for an agent-to-agent (robot-to-robot?) communication layer and better ways to describe physical capabilities as tools so an LLM actually knows how to control a body.

In principle, any robot can become an agent if you describe its sensors and actuators as tools. In practice, almost no framework takes this seriously — especially at the swarm level. Even more interesting is how physical agents might coordinate with cloud agents under a shared orchestration layer.

things keeping me up at night

— how do you define autonomous robots as AI agents with tools?

— communication and coordination between physical agents and cloud agents

— agent protocols for the physical world — not just chat, actual coordination

Gideon

Personal AI Assistant & Holographic Interface

Another update on Gideon... made this bigger. Super cool. Now it's Grok so it's more fun to talk to. Now I need to reduce the latency, update the prompt and add more memory, and teach it how to solve time travel so that I can be Barry Allen. Built with my friends Gigi, Bhavia, and Debbie.

what's next

— computer vision integration — want to control Gideon with hand movements like Tony Stark

— gesture recognition system for intuitive interface control

Gideon V2 & V0

Latest Evolution & Original Prototype

V2: The newest version with improved capabilities and better interaction. Enhanced holographic display with more responsive AI conversations.

V2 — current progress

This video is a prototype - doesn't have CV integrated yet.

V0 — original prototype

The first working prototype! Built a hologram display that works with Gideon (3D printed + glass - don't recommend cutting with scissors). Generated image with Gemini, D-ID to animate that avatar, ChatGPT for info will switch to Grok... this was where it all started.

FakeMe

Got 9 upvotes on Product Hunt, I think it's a success! Can create AI twins of anyone. Pretty cool to make fun of your friends or chat with Yoda.

AIA Interface

The interface for agentic web, dynamic UI generation pretty cool. First true portal into the Agent Internet where autonomous agents can be discovered, verified, and interacted with.

Bad UI but what I really need you speak to it about million of things you need to do and it actually organizes your thoughts into to do lists.

Manga Translator

Built for Meta hackathon. Works great! Uses Hugging Face model to identify speech bubbles and Meta API to translate text. Can translate whole PDF comic books into any language and insert translated text back into bubbles. Need to switch APIs since they removed free Meta credits.

OpenSeek

DeepSeek doesn't have censorship in Russian, so we hacked this to ask questions in English that usually get filtered out.

Moodify

Cringey music remixing TikTok style (I know you like it).

CamoAI

How do you stay recognizable to humans but invisible to AI? Interesting research hack that kinda works (has potential).

Future Vision Generator

What if you could literally see your future? We played with video AI generation and human psychology to create personalized vision videos. Manifestation IRL.

EmbrAI

Always was fascinated by genetics (watch Gattaca). My friend and I trained an AI to spot viable embryos for IVF. Used federated learning as well.

LLM Benchmark Comparer

Built a Maestro Model with OpenRouter for LLM benchmarking. Helps corporations find the best AI models for their needs by comparing cost, speed, and accuracy across different providers.

MacAI

Full computer automation without any computer vision (accessibility API is actually great). Why do only developers get to vibe code? Let's all just vibe work and see what happens. Built it. It works. We're proving it's better than computer vision models on the OSWorld benchmark — real automation that actually works.
